ALUME LWAMBA LIPU was born in Kongolo on December 22, 1975, in the province of Tanganyika, where I am from. I am the father of six children and the son of LIPU KANYOGE and MWALI AWEZAI. I began my elementary education in Kongolo, and later my older brothers took me to Lubumbashi, where I completed my elementary education at École Saint André and earned my elementary school diploma. Eager to continue my education, I enrolled at the Tayari Institute from 1990 to 1998, where I earned my state diploma in general education.
Later, during school breaks, I had to take some English language courses, as my English was not strong enough.
Experience
Eager to pursue my university studies, I took an entrance exam at the University of Lubumbashi, after which I was admitted to the Faculty of Social and Administrative Sciences, Department of Political and Administrative Sciences, where I graduated in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree, achieving a grade of 68 percent.
Once I entered the workforce, I was required to take certain training courses, such as in computer science and English. Then, in 2005, I took a test at the CENI and was appointed president of the polling and vote-counting bureau.
Also, during my university studies, I completed internships at various government agencies, such as the General Directorate of Taxation and the General Directorate of Tourism.
