Establishing a Private Employment Agency
A decree issued by the Minister responsible for labor and social security, following consultation with the National Labor Council, establishes the procedures for establishing and operating private employment agencies.
Requirements
- The establishment of a private employment agency is subject to prior authorization from the National Employment Office (ONEM) and approval by the Ministry of Employment, Labor, and Social Security.
- Any individual or legal entity wishing to establish a private employment agency must submit an application for authorization to the National Employment Office (ONEM) for approval.
The activity of personnel placement consists of regularly providing services aimed at matching job offers with job seekers, without the person carrying out this activity becoming a party to any employment relationships that may result therefrom.
