Subject: New Entry Guidelines for the Democratic Republic of the Congo Regarding the COVID-19 Situation.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
In light of the positive developments in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with Circular No. 1250/CAB/MIN/SPHP/001/DC/GSK/2022 dated February 9, 2022, issued by His Excellency the Minister of Public Health, Hygiene, and Prevention, This circular supplements and amends Circular No. 06/DGM/DG/291/022 dated February 11, 2022, regarding the conditions for entry into and exit from the national territory as part of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic:
- Mandatory compliance with the provisions set forth in Decree No. 20/023 of October 1, 2020, issued by His Excellency the Prime Minister, Head of Government, regarding containment measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo;
- All travelers must present, upon entry into or exit from the country, a negative COVID-19 PCR test result obtained in their country of origin no more than 48 hours prior;
- Requirement to undergo a PCR test administered by authorized services upon entry into the country;
- Repeal of the ban on boarding for travelers coming from or transiting through India and Brazil, as decreed by Note No. 06/DGM/DG/763/021 dated May 8, 2021.
